Come Party with Tess and Ethan!

From 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday, July 3rd at Tawasentha Park in Guilderland, NY, we'll be having a totally-outdoor, totally-vaccinated wedding celebration! We can't wait to see you!

FAQ

What about COVID?

Our event is at a large pavilion, and it will be entirely outdoors. In addition to requiring that all attendees who are able to be vaccinated and boostered, we're asking everyone to test within 24 hours of the event, preferably the morning of. Rapid tests will be available at the pavilion or for you to pick up; please email Tess. Also, if you feel more comfortable being masked, you are welcome to do so.

What about kids?

Kids of all ages are welcome! The pavilion we'll be at is next to a playground, and surrounded by plenty of open space (and next to the bathrooms, too!) As long as you're comfortable, you can bring your kids. We'll have a couple of child-minders available to supervise the playground and kid's table with some kid-friendly activities, so you might even get a few minutes free.

What should we wear?

We want our celebration to be as fun and comfortable as possible, while keeping it memorable! Also, the event is in a park, with picnic table seating under the pavilion. To that end, we invite you to dress for the weather, in a semi-casual way; the sort of thing you would wear to a religious service or graduation party is perfect! (Footwear especially should be grass-friendly and comfy.)Additionally, we invite everyone to include red in their outfits. Red is the traditional color for Hindu brides, and though neither of us are Hindu, we're incorporating multiple wedding traditions into our day. Tess's father Pawan is Hindu, and we love red's symbolism of prosperity and good luck. (It's also perfect for the Fourth of July weekend!)

What should we bring?

Guests are welcome to bring their own additional snacks and non-alcoholic beverages; we will of course be serving plenty of delicious food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), but those with dietary restrictions, small children, or limited palates may wish to bring a cooler, and that's totally fine with us! (No glass bottles though, please!)We're doing our best to provide options for all, and the whole menu is available here!

What should we give?

We're really not expecting gifts! Our lives are very full and comfortable, and we're not in need of many material goods. We're mostly looking forward to being able to celebrate this stage of our lives with you. Just a card with some well-wishes and advice is more than enough. (We have also already received many wonderful gifts, and we're very appreciative!)If you'd like to get us a physical present, we do have a registry with Amazon, and one for gifts from sites other than Amazon. We're also planning to finish our basement, to which end we've set up a Honeyfund, if you'd like to contribute towards that!
